Careers Insight Week at iamproperty isn’t just a typical work experience placement, it’s a modern, hands-on programme where you’ll explore real roles, take part in exciting projects, and develop skills that could shape your future.
Spend a week at our central Newcastle office and experience a workplace where collaboration, creativity, and real projects are part of your day-to-day learning.
You’ll try out tasks across different teams, meet people from all areas of the business, and build confidence in your own abilities. The week is designed to spark curiosity, encourage questions, and help you uncover new career ideas you may never have considered.

Throughout the week, you’ll rotate through departments such as Marketing, HR, Legal, and Business Support. With support from friendly mentors, you’ll get involved in day-to-day tasks and get a real feel for how different teams work together. You’ll also join practical sessions designed to help you build useful workplace skills and boost your confidence for the future.
Our head office is based in Newcastle, though many of our team work remotely across the UK. To take part in Careers Insight Week, you’ll need to be able to travel to our Newcastle office each day so you can get fully involved and experience the workplace atmosphere firsthand. We welcome applications from students of all backgrounds and abilities, and we’re happy to provide guidance around travel or access.
Careers Insight Week is open to students in Years 10–12 who are in full-time education and want to learn more about the world of property, business, and tech. It’s ideal for those curious about different career paths and excited to explore this further. Youl will need to able to commit to the full working week of Monday 13th – Friday 17th July.

Step 1. Apply!
Fill in the application form and tell us a bit about your favourite subjects, any experience you’ve had, and what you hope to get out of the week. Everyone is welcome, whether this is your first work experience or you’ve had others before, we want to hear from you!

Our team will read every application. If you’re shortlisted, we’ll invite you to a friendly phone chat with our Talent Team. Don’t worry, it’s just a relaxed conversation to get to know you, your interests, and what excites you.
Step 3: Your Place on the Programme
Once decisions are made, we’ll contact you by phone or email. If you’re successful, you’ll receive all the details you need to prepare for the week, from what to expect on your first day to tips for making the most of your experience.
Spaces are limited, so we can’t offer a place to everyone who applies, but we encourage all students to apply and let us know why they’re interested!
